Under the leadership of Shihan Jeffery Anderson the Shudokan conducted a Black Belt test on Sunday May 27, 2007 at Sensei Dye's Dojo in Costa Mesa, California. A total of 18 police officers, sheriff's deputies and military members were tested.

Jeffery Anderson and Robert Posslenzny were promoted to the rank of 6th degree black belt and issued a Dojo certificate that authorizes them to run an official Shudokan Ryu Dojo. Jeffery Anderson and Robert Posslenzny were also honored with the title of Shihan by the Shudokan.

Shihan Anderson and Posslenzny along with Sensei Garcia, Soke Dye and I sat on the testing board that evaluated the skills of the other Shudokan members.

Renshi Andrew Wiesmann, Pat Nash, and James Hart, earned the rank of 4th degree black belt by demonstrating tactical proficiently. The level of talent demonstrated was amazing to watch.

All of the Shudokan members who tested for their 4th degree also were honored with the title of Renshi and issued a certificate to acknowledge the title.

Richard North and Andrew Hwang earned their second degree black belt, and the following earned their first degree black belt and officially joined the Shudokan.

Chris Waters, Andrew Hwang, Mark Smith, and Chris Barsteceanu tested in April due to a conflict in their schedules that did not allow them to participate in May 27th testing, during which they were officially recognized by the Shudokan.

I want to congratulate the above-named members of the Shudokan for their recent promotion. The ongoing success of the Shudokan is a testament to the talent and dedication of its members.
